Renate Baur-Richter
Accessibility Specialist
Renate Baur-Richter is an inclusion and accessibility strategist focused on building a culture of opportunity for People of Determination and vulnerable groups. She has over 15 years of experience, developing inclusive strategies for high-level projects across multiple industries and partnering with organizations leading transformational change projects in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Tanzania, and Europe.
Leveraging her mastery of international best practices and local standards, Ms. Baur-Richter can identify challenges, develop practical solutions, and ensure a future-proof implementation of inclusive and accessible services and products. Her range of expertise comprises creating and assessing built and digital environments, devising and implementing concepts for inclusive employment, developing inclusive communication (including imagery and design), and creating fully accessible events and exhibition concepts.
Ms. Baur-Richter is currently the Program Director at SEDRA Foundation, a hub for accessibility and inclusion of People of Determination that works across multiple sectors in the UAE. She is also responsible for the UAE chapter of the International Association of Accessibility Professionals. Ms. Baur-Richter received her Master’s in the Management of Social Enterprises from Danube University in Krems, Austria.
