Multi-Award Winning Producer
Rachel Wang is a cultural leader and multi-award winning producer and creative entrepreneur. She is Co-Founder of social enterprise and film production company, Chocolate Films. Rachel specialises in video production for the arts and heritage industries, creating content for the likes of HBO, Disney, BBC, Royal Collection, and the National Gallery. As a social enterprise, Chocolate Films Workshops works with over 3000 disadvantaged young people each year offering filmmaking opportunities and programmes. Rachel recently won Entrepreneur of the Year in March 2023 having just opened a new creative studio.
Rachel is a public figure, holding a trusteeship at the National Portrait Gallery for over 6 years. Appointed by the Prime Minister, Rachel is the Digital Trustee of the national institution which has recently undergone refurbishment and a transformative rehang. The Gallery opens again on 20th June 2023. Rachel chaired the Digital Advisory board over Covid and was instrumental in the groundbreaking Hold Still project championed by the Princess of Wales, and currently sits on the Curatorial Committee at the National Portrait Gallery. Rachel is passionate about celebrating diversity and opportunities for all and sits on the Advisory board at the Museum of London Docklands and Film London's Film Hub. A graduate in Art, History of Art and Theology from Bristol University, Rachel also holds two Honorary Doctorates in Law and Business. She is a Freeman of the City of London and Member of the Company of Entrepreneurs.
